Checks

Nine checks per document.

Each check looks at something different and returns its own finding. Together they produce an overall grade from A (unremarkable) to F (highly suspicious) — traceable, because you see every individual finding.

Check the image details

Every photo carries invisible extra information: capture device, timestamp, software used. If those don't fit together or point to an image editor, we flag it.

Traces of later editing

Areas that were changed and re-saved later leave traces. That's how swapped names, dates or an overwritten VIN come to light.

Compare the preview image

Cameras store a small preview alongside the photo. If it shows something different from the actual image, the picture was edited after it was taken.

Check the capture pattern

A genuine photo carries an even pattern across the whole frame. Where an area deviates, it was most likely inserted or newly generated.

Find copied areas

If a stamp, a date or an entire field is duplicated inside the image, the check finds the repetition — a classic forgery move.

Security pattern of the form

The registration document is printed with a fine security pattern. Where it is interrupted, covered or imitated, someone worked on the document.

Detect AI-generated documents

Spots fully synthetic documents as well as individual generated patches — using our own analysis plus an additional specialised detector.

Check the content for contradictions

Do the VIN and its check digit, the manufacturer codes, dates and technical values agree? A contradiction in the content is often the first sign of a forgery.

Duplicates across your uploads

If the same document is submitted again with different vehicle or personal data, the system raises an alert. Comparison happens only within your account — and only irreversible checksums are stored, never the documents.

How the check works.

The authenticity check runs alongside the extraction — same step, no second upload. That way you can spot edited or AI-generated vehicle registrations before their data reaches your system. Enable the check per document or permanently in your account settings.

Image details, editing traces, preview image, capture pattern, copied areas, security pattern, AI detection, content contradictions and duplicates all run independently.

Overall grade A to F

The individual findings are combined into one grade — deliberately conservative, so genuine documents don't get flagged needlessly.

A finding per check

You get the extracted data as usual — plus the risk assessment with a grade and a reason for every check.

The extracted data stays as it is. The risk assessment is added on top — only when you switch it on, never automatically.
